:6:15, crawling on the beltway, four lanes of brake lights... I'm in the
:right lane, about a quarter mile from my exit when BAM!
:I'm still in disbelief over the amount of damage that can occur at such a
:low speed. It was a white Ford Econoline van, and the guy said his foot
:slipped off the pedal. I'm thinking maybe it slipped onto the accelerator,
:because I swear traffic was moving at about 3 mph.

:Bernie, I was praying as I got out to check the damage that my tails
:were good and cracked, but despite the destruction surrounding them,
:they seem to have escaped with only this on the driver's side:

:I reported it to my insurance company last night and am waiting for an
:appointment to get the damage appraised. Doesn't look cheap - I'm
:thinking the whole rear piece of metal needs to be replaced because it's
:all torqued out of alignment with the hatch.
:Anything in particular I need to be aware of when I go to get the work
:done?
